Eliminate the Itch with Mosquito Control

Mosquito Control

Few things can ruin a beautiful summer day than the presence of mosquitoes. When you’re trying to enjoy your yard, the last thing you need is a bunch of blood-thirsty, buzzing insects trying to bite you. You can try using bug repellent spray or lighting a candle, but the candles only affect a small area, and sprays are only partially effective and inconvenient to use. Instead, you can call us at Total Pest Solutions and ask about our mosquito control service.

Mosquito control works in a number of ways. We’ll come to your house and identify the areas that mosquitoes are most likely to live and breed. Those areas will be sprayed with a compound that kills mosquitoes, and you’ll likely see an immediate reduction in the mosquito population. Even after the compound dries, it continues to act as an insect repellent and makes it less likely that mosquitoes will come into your yard from other areas. This mosquito control process will need to be repeated about once a month to remain effective.

There are also things you can do around your house and yard to help with mosquito control. Mosquitoes breed in standing water, and even small, shallow puddles of water can be used. You should check around your house for anything that might hold water like children’s toys, old tires, and wheelbarrows, and remove any water from them. If possible, turn containers over to prevent them from collecting water in the first place. If you have a birdbath, changing the water once a week will also help with mosquito control.
